"Well if you'd accept an offer you wouldn't be only human anymore! As you are now, you can't pull a bolt out of yourself and be fine within an hour! Kaanyn-buin, you can't even cast yourself a shield!" Rivyn ran a hand through his shaggy hair in exasperation, as Archer put his back to his agitated Hunt-partner, a silent statement of his stance on the matter.
"I joined to fight as a human, Riv. A full human against those ikerv! And I'll-"
"Die as one, too! And too early to avenge your brother! Because you're completely human!"

So, anyway, I had a different version of this floating around somewhere on my computer.. but I got the idea for this version (which is incomplete) at breakfast, and when I tried to write it in my physical journal, it wouldn't come out right.. so... yeah... just had to get that out. I've had to cut it off, though, because a number of the branches in the path on this particular snippet would disturb some of my friends too much... and I don't want to do that right now... ack I need to write more these days.
